Your post is buried about two hundred messages deep. Bringing it back up to the top for you, in hopes you'll get some answers.<BR>

Hi, Diane,<BR><BR>Haven't yet stayed in any of these hotels myself. The Hotel des Grandes Ecoles generally gets very good reviews here. You should be able to pull up some recent threads using the search function.<BR><BR>Reagrding Le Grimaldi: Five fellow travelers and I are booked at Le Grimaldi in September as well (19-22). The owners have been very helpful and charming in our e-mails back and forth. Also, a professional colleague of mine stayed there earlier this year and called it "a delightful hotel" and a real find. Another fodors.com poster, who e-mailed me after her stay there in May 2001, called it "possibly the nicest small hotel I have ever stayed in. I really can't say enough good about it."<BR><BR>Hope this helps.<BR><BR>Let me know if you will be overlapping with our traveling party in September. Feel free to e-mail me directly. Have a great trip.<BR><BR>John H.

Your choice of Hotel des Grandes Ecoles is a good one. You will love it. We spent two weeks there in May and fell in love with the place. As one travel book said, it's an oasis in the middle of Paris.<BR>

We haven't stayed there yet but we have reservations at the Hotel Des Grandes Ecoles for October. We made those reservations based on the recommendation of a collegue of mine that stayed there about a year ago. They loved it and the pictures they have portray a charming residence. Let us know what you think upon your return!

Does anyone have a website for Le Grimaldi in Nice? What are the prices like?

Diane Mac Aug 5th, 2002 09:58 AM

A website for Le Grimaldi is www.le-grimaldi.com. We reserved a standard double room for 125 Euros per night.
