Need advice re. plumbers' rates in Paris

The title says it all.
Can anyone please tell me what a plumber would charge to come to your home after normal business hours (evening or weekend) to fix a problem?
I assume this would include a charge for coming to the home, as well as the hourly rate.
Thanks in advance.

Try posting your question in the tripadvisor or bonjourparis forums, where there are quite a few locals who can offer advice.

We paid about 500 euros to have a couple of minor leaks fixed on a Saturday in our studio in Paris (13th arrondissement). Complete ripoff, but all the plumbers we contacted quoted us similar prices. Try and get somebody to come out during normal working hours if you can, or you will pay a premium as we did. Also, we'd have been charged even more if we hadn't paid in cash.

I have called a plumber twice since I moved to Paris.
The first time was one of those rip-off numbers for emergencies, and I would say I paid about 5 times the normal price. Never again.

The second time, it was an even better emergency -- my hot water heater EXPLODED -- but I calmly consulted www.pagesjaunes.fr for a plumber in my neighborhood (18th), called about 4 of them to compare prices and availability, and the one I selected came to inspect the problem that same evening and two workers came the next day to take out the old one and put in a new one. I paid about 700€ for that, but just looking at hot water heaters on the net, I saw that mine cost 550€ already, without any installation or removal of old equipment.
