Need advice on the place to visit in Prague
Hi all
I'm going to Prague this September on a solo travel, about 5 days. It's my first time to this city so, I wonder if I can have advice on the place to visit in Prague. Any helpful tips and advice is welcome. Thank you so much. |

Castle Complex
Charles Bridge Powder Gate Old Town Square St Nicholas church in Mala Strana maybe Mala Strana itself Jewish "museum" area, some synagogues and cemetery Loreto chapel National Gallery Mucha Museum Franz Kafka museum Convent of St Agnes if you care, an opera at one of the beautiful theatres |
You can visit Terezin Concentration Camp. Sylvie Whittmann is a popular tour operator, but there are others.
Your hotel should have info. or you can visit a tourist office in Prague. See Helga Weissova's "Draw what You See" for reference. Fodor's used to use my quotes on Prague in its Prague Guide. Thin |
In addition to the good recommendations above, you could take a tour of the Municipal House, book online:
http://www.obecnidum.cz/en/turistic-tours.html Here is the website of the National Gallery. You can see what's on where (different buildings). I visited the Sternberg and Schwarzenberg Palaces, as well as the Trade Fair Palace. The Trade Fair Palace was my favorite, but I read somewhere they no longer are exhibiting the Slav Epic on the ground floor. Still, it's a great museum if you're interested in 19th-20th century Czech art. http://www.ngprague.cz/en/ |
Thank you so much you guys, quite a handful of ideas!
I got some suggestion from this http://mrabroad.com/how-many-days-sh...end-in-prague/ And now I'm having an issue of picking a location haha. It's OK, I'm going to visit Prague more than just once. Again, thank you for your information and recommendations. |
There are many cool places to visit in Prague. Usually, people only go to the touristy old town and the Jewish Quarter, but there is so much more than that.
Check out some of my articles, actually walking routes in Prague where I tried to combine a number of different places that are close to one another. Btw, anyone can sign up and post here. I am not advertising, just a friendly suggestion. http://www.routey.net/City/Prague/Ro...Tour-in-Prague http://www.routey.net/City/Prague/Ro...e-Walking-Tour |
