Need advice on restaurant pick

Message: Hello All,

I am heading to Rome next week and am looking for a great restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I was going to book at Dal Bolognese. But I am reading so many different postings about great restaurants tha I do not know if this is the best one..I would like to stay in the spanish steps area. Does Dal Bolognese sound good? Or can anyone recommend another restaurant. Thanks!

If you click on your name up in the left-hand corner you will find the other question you posted on the same subject, along with responses.

we ate at the Dal Bolognese some years back and enjoyed it very much.

There are two dining rooms in Dal Bolognese. One is for smokers, and the other is not. Be sure to specify your preference. Rome is still a "smokers" paradise.

Dal Bolognese is great - just ate there in April. I think my favorite restaurant during my entire stay in Italy was Nino's in Rome - Via Borgognona. This is right by the Spanish Steps, where you can watch the sun set before enojoying a delicious dinner here :0)
