Need advice on contact Rome hotels for direct booking

Thanks everyone who has replied to my prevous posts about finding and booking hotels in Rome. I've now got a list of 10 hotels that I want to check with directly on their avalability. Some of the hotel websites do not provide an email contact or a phone number. I think this is because their website is possibly sponsored by another booking engine? I need to book rooms for 4 couple and don't feel comfortable with website like Venere.com due to mixed comments to Suzanna's post. I don't want to be responsible for us arriving in Rome to find we don't have the rooms reserved or not at the rate we expected.

I found a website that did list phone numbers for many hotels so I believe I will try calling them directly. I cannot find numbers for the following hotels: San Carlo, Raffaello and Cabo d'Africa. Raffaello had a great website that allowed online booking but I was only to get 2 double rooms and 2 triple rooms. The triple rooms cost more and I only need doubles. It appears the are in our price range on the double rooms. Nowhere on there website do I find an option to send them an email or do they list a phone number. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Capo d'Africa has an email button under the Hotel tab:

http://www.hotelcapodafrica.com

San Carlo has it in its header:

http://www.hotelsancarloroma.com/index.htm

Couldn't find it for the Raffaello.

Hi Paige,

IIRC Suzanna was complaining taht between the time she saw the room and actually booked it the price went up.

This is very different from making a booking and not having it honored.

I haven't heard that complaint about Venere.

I am a travel agent and have used www.venere.com with complete satisfaction.I was looking for a hotel in Rome that was centrally located for a client of mine and stumbled on a wonderful property that is not advertised anywhere but is right at the bottom of the Spanish Steps and within walking distance to the underground. It's called Internazionale Domus, phone number 06-69190237. My client loved it, it had a view of the Spanish Steps from his window and was an apartment instead of a room for just the cost of a hotel.
If you plug in Internazionale Domus, you should find it easily.
