NEED ADJOINING ROOM IN PARIS
Hello,
I am going to Paris in September. I would like to know if there is a reasonable hotel with a room that offers an adjoining room for a third person? Any suggestions? Also, would love to stay in St. Germain des Pres if possible. Thanks |
The Hôtel Mansart offers several adjoining rooms. While not in the 6th, the hotel is right off the Place Vendôme and convenient for many sightseeing attractions.
Wherever you decide to stay, make your reservations ASAP: September is VERY high season because of all the shows. |
Hi H,
We always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. About 124E dbl w/bkfst Hotel Bonaparte Tel 33 1 43 26 97 37 FAX 33 1 46 33 57 67 For more info, enter "Hotel Bonaparte" in the "search this forum" box. Our last visit, we stayed in Rooms 18 and 19. They do not have a connecting door, but they are right next to each other. Hope this helps. ((I)) |
I don't know what you consider reasonable.but the du Danube on reu Jacob ,in the 6th, has what they call " apartments"..2 seperate bedrooms and 1 bath . Another forodite asked me to look at them when we were in Paris a few months ago. There was only 1 available but I did take pictures for her. I can't remember if there was a door between the bedrooms however. They have several configurations and they are listed on their website, http://www.hoteldanube.fr

Bonjour jody!
henry, I don't know what is reasonable these days, ( I certainly am not!) but the Hotel D'Angleterre has adjoining rooms, at 44 rue Jacob, in the 6th. |
Every hotel has adjoining rooms - I think you mean connecting rooms - with a door in-between the two. If you ask for the former you may not end up with what you want.
|
True, the Angleterre has door that connect to other rooms.
|
Thanks everyone-keep your suggestions coming. You are right...I haven't been successful stating adjoining room because the hotels send back info about a room with 3 beds. So I will use the work connecting room. Thanks for the advice.

Hotel Valadon is in the 7th. It has a "family cottage" with connecting rooms and it is very reasonably priced.
|
The term is "chambres communicantes" for connecting rooms.
I don't know any in St Germain but ran across a couple in my search for a hotel this summer. The 3* Hotel du Vieux Saule has chambres communicantes and reasonable rates (91-136 euro per room). It's in the upper part of Marais area in the 3rd arr. www.paris-hotel-vieuxsaule.com The Hotel de France Invalides around Latour Maubourg metro in the 7th also has chambres communicantes and very reasonable rates. I know Hotel Sainte Beuve in St Germain does also, but they are 335 euro for both. Is that your idea of reasonable? I guess it would be in St Germain for that level of hotel, as that's the rate of about two double rooms (less than some hotels like the Madison). |
I just checked the 2 bedroom, 1 bath "apartments" at du Danube , which I have pictured are 220Euro per night
