Need a reasonable price Hotel in Barcelona

I need a reasonable priced hotel for 2 adults in Barcelona for the middle of May for 2 nights a Monday and Tuesday. Close to the beach but we can walk. Also any suggestions on night life where to go, to eat and have a few cocktails. Any information will be appreciative.

A "reasonably priced hotel" doesn't mean much. A budget might help in making a recommendation.

A good price point would be $175.00 per night. A good restaurant would be $30.00 per person as well. Also any night club, nightlife suggestions would help as well.

Check out freestanza.com and hotelbanysorientals.com

Night life: Borne area and Port Olimpic. Borne area attracts couples and groups in their 30s looking for sophisticated, relaxing and intimate bars. The latest fashionable place (specially in summer) is the Port Olimpic.

For cocktails I like Pilé 43 in the Gothic quarter.

Have fun!

For Barcelona hotels two good sites are www.bancotel.com and using www.venere.com Venere will show you on a map the exact location of all the hotels offered.

I would advise against staying near the port Olympic area if you want to be centrally located for the city itself.

Try the Hotel Continental http://www.hotelcontinental.com/home_ramblas.htm it's very reasonable. It's in an excellent location at the top of La Ramblas. The rooms are a decent size, very clean and all rooms have fridges. I usually try to get a room on La Ramblas, it might be a little noisier but it's nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a nice glass of red
