Need a muscle cream from France

Last year we visited Paris, France & found a muscle cream named 'Decontractyl Baume'
80 mg , I found it only France, does anyone know if I can get it over the internet?

If you google for it, there seem to be a numbers of sites selling it online.

I should be very cautious about purchasing any drug over the internet. The possibility of your receiving something other than what you intended is always present.

Decontractyl or Ibuprofen cream is available outside of France but in most locations, it is sold only with a doctor´s prescription. You may want to consult your physician about obtaining it locally.

No, NSAID creams or gels are commonly sold as OTC drugs in Europe. In the US, they are Rx only.

The active ingredients of Décontractyl cream are mephenesin, a central-acting muscle relaxant, and methyl nicotinate, a compound often used for local, superficial analgesia (as of the skin). It does not contain ibuprofen. I don't know the status of these ingredients in the United States, but you could ask a pharmacist about products that contain them and are OTC.

Would this cream help with carpal tunnel?

AnthonyGA Nov 5th, 2011 10:50 PM

Probably not, since carpal tunnel syndrome is a matter of tendons, nerves, and ligaments, not muscles, and since the pain is more than just superficial.
