Nearest Airport to Selcuk, Turkey

My son is in Turkey at present and he's got to get back to Istanbul from Selcuk and I'm not sure if there's an airport at Kusadasi - I'm thinking not.

Is Izmir the closest if that is the case?

Thanks for your help.

Yes you are correct..Izmir is the closest airport to both Selcuk and Kusadasi

İzmir Adnan Menderes International Airport (IATA: ADB, ICAO: LTBJ) is an airport serving İzmir and is named after the first democratically elected Turkish political leader and former prime minister Adnan Menderes.

İzmir's main airport is 18 km (11 miles) south of the city on the way to Selçuk, Ephesus and Pamukkale.

The easiest way to get there from İzmir is by the Havaş airport shuttle bus (every 20 minutes, 35 to 60 minutes) from the Turkish Airlines office.

Hi stormbird,

closest airport as said is Izmir. Not easy to reach as there are no shuttles but by bus to Izmir first or private transfer.

Hope he is enjoying his time.

Greetings from santorini where I am couple of days

Hi Murat,

Pinar mentioned you were in Greece - and hope it is all going well. Our son is now with our friends in Urgup and they are spoiling him and looking after him very well. He absolutely loves Turkey, as I thought he would. So the next few days will be the Open Air museum, the underground city, a Hot air balloon ride and some walks through the beautiful Cappadocian valleys etc.
He has fallen in love with the Turkish people and their sense of humour so I know he is going to get along just fine.
Thanks for your help - looks like a bus it is then - but he is quite used to that mode of travel so hopefully, it won't be a problem.
Regards
Clare
