Naxos and Santorini Car Rental
 

Hi, all! In April, my group of four is spending three nights in Naxos at the Hotel Grotta followed by three nights at an Air BnB in Oia, Santorini. Unless I book a few tours, I'm thinking of renting a car for at least a day in each location so that we can explore some inland villages at our own pace. Do you have any recommendations about car rental? I see that other Fodorites have arranged rentals through Hotel Grotta, which seems very convenient. Thanks for any tips!

For Naxos, I was pleased with Fun Cars, which I arranged through the wonderful Hotel Grotta.

We stayed at Olympic Villas in Oia and rented two cars from Vazeos Car Rental, they were just across the street from us. I believe we paid €40/ day for a mid-sized car, the whole process was smooth and painless. We picked up the cars at their location and dropped them off at the airport on our way back to Athens. This was in May 2022.

We were also directed to a rental agency by Hotel Grotta in Naxos, which worked out well. In Santorini also, we relied on our hotel's recommendation of a reliable local agency.
