Navigo Découverte / metro tickets?

Hi, everyone. I have an old Navigo Découverte card, but I can't find an expiration. I know I need to recharge it, but how do I know if the card part with my photo is still good? I think I got it in 2012, but I'm not sure.

Also, out of curiosity, do older (2012-ish) metro tickets expire? One of my guidebooks indicates that they'll probably still work.(?)

Thanks so much!

I was told this spring by the cashier who sold me my Navigo Découverte card, that they're good for 10 years. Some posters here say longer but, in any case, you're good.

As far as I know, Metro tickets don't expire.

Thank you!

Metro tickets do not expire, but might become de-magnetized. If they don't work in the turnstyle and have not been validated, just go to a manned booth and exchange them for free.

As long as you have a photo glued to your Navigo, you can re-charge it in the machines.

Sometimes, transit passes will be updated, such as the old Carte Orange, which was replaced by Navigo.
But there will be ample notice given before this goes into effect.

They're good as long as they work. They don't magically stop at 10 years. They certainly are good from 2012, unless something went wrong with it.
