Navigating Heathrow

I am flying into Terminal 3 and want to stay one night at the Hilton at LHR (Terminal 4). Is it possible to walk from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 (will have only carryon luggage on wheels)? Also, will fly out of Terminal 2 the next morning. Again, is it possible to walk from the Hilton (T4) to T2? Is there bus service and would that be easier? Thanks much.

No to both questions. T4 is about two miles away from T2+3, or four if you try to walk it, which is possible only by going round the airport perimeter road.

You need to walk through the underpass after immigration to the Heathrow Express station (5 mins walk), get the free, every 15 min train, for the 5 min journey, then walk (5 mins) to the hotel. Then the same thing in reverse.

I don't think there's a landside bus, and you can't take the airside one.

Most off-airport LHR hotels are closer to T's 2 and 3 than is the Hilton at T 4.

Really, unless you have Hilton points for a free stay, you would be better off staying at another hotel.

I agree with janisj, unless there is a good reason that we don't know about, stay at one of the hotels just north of LHR. Many here, including me, use Priceline for Heathrow hotels and get excellent value.

When you leave the train you can get a luggage cart and drop it off at the hotel. It is easy to get to the Hilton and I have done it many times.
