Native French speakers help please

I hope you don't mind a language question but I know I can get the right answer here!

Is it appropriate to sign a new year's card to a close male french friend and co-worker "Je t'embrasse"? Or is this a phrase that implies a romantic relationship?

Fine to sign this way if you are close friends. Does NOT imply a romantic relationship.

Yes, it would be fine, especially as he is a close friend.

I've recieved many cards signed this way from les amis et les amies. :)

It's a lot safer than saying "Je te baise" even though your dictionary probably tells you that "baiser" means "to kiss".

No problem.We europeans are liberal.Paul

Took me a while to work that one out.

Donner un baiser à quelqu'un=to kiss someone

Baiser quelqu'un=the beast with two backs.

The word "calin" also means cuddle and the second definition above.
