Naples to Positano

Does anyone know if there are still ferries running from Naples to Positano?
We'll be traveling there at the end of August, start of July.
metrodelmare seems to be gone now--so that option is out.

Thanks!!

Aron

There is no direct ferry from Naples to the Amalfi Coast, but you might find this site helpful:

We are still deciding between driving from tuscany to naples vs taking a train from rome to naples. I was then hoping for the easiest, fastest way to get from naples to Positano as we will be with our 3 year old and 6 month old. But I suppose I don't have to go through naples at all. Is there another gateway city someone could recommend?

We went to Positano without our children a few years ago--and I don't think I would like to do that bus ride again.

The easiest IMO is train from Rome to Salerno, then ferry from Salerno to Positano.

www.coopsantandrea.com for ferry schedule.

That looks perfect ekc, thanks!

We fly out of Naples to go home, any ideas about the best way to get to the airport? We don't leave until 13:00, but I was considering springing for a car service.

Thoughts?

With two kids that age, I would use a car service. Should be something like 100-120 euros.

Positano Shuttle is probably the cheapest, but you would have to check prices and compare.

I'd consider driving to Salerno (though haven't checked any sites re times) rather than dropping car in Rome and transferring to train then to ferry in Salerno.

We went from Positano to Naples airport 2 weeks ago using a driver. We picked up car in Naples to drive to Tuscany.

I'd make the transfers as easy as possible with 2 small children.
