Naples to Positano

I am looking for information on how to get from Naples to Positano. What is the best way?

The best way is to arrange for a car and driver, if you can afford it. Not all that expensive these days. Ask the concierge at your hotel to arrange it for you. If not, you could take the train from Naples to Salerno and get a taxi from there. Or ask the hotel to arrange to pick you up. Here's the web site for the trains:
http://www.trenitalia.com

Hello Donald,

If you want to go by public transport, the quickest route is via Sorrento.

Naples-Sorrento trains leave every 30 minutes from Napoli Centrale Station (Piazza Garibaldi).
(Follow the signs downstairs for the 'Circumvesuviana).
Journey time to Sorrento is 65 minutes.

Buses for Positano leave from Sorrento Station.
Journey time to Positano is 45 minutes.
You can find the bus timetable on:-
www.uniplan.it/sita/s509.txt

Let me know if I can be of more help ...

Steve

P.S. If you are travelling in high season, there is a Naples-Positano hydrofoil service which takes 45 minutes.

Steve

A car and driver will cost about $80-100 dollars.
