Naples to Capri

I need to find out exact costs of a taxi Naples Airport to the Hydrofoil to Capri, then from the Hyrdofoil to Naples train Station. Also does anyone know the cost of the funicular on Capri to the top? Thanks

Why do exact costs matter, the Hydrofoil is the cheapest (to the best of my knowledge) way to get to Capri, unless you own your own yacht, or intend to swim. The taxi depends on journey time, hence traffic is a factor.

One should budget for an holiday, but not to the cent, or even one hundred EUR. Allow maybe 400EUR eitherway.

I just need the cost of the taxi. $100.00? $200.00? $300.00? The hyrdofoil is cheap, I just need to price the taxi to the pier and the pier to the train station. I'm not worried about being to the cent. But thanks

Airport to hydrofoil should cost 25 Euros; hydrofoil to train station 15 Euros.

A ferry to Capri costs less than a hydrofoil, but takes a bit more time. Schedules and rates at:

To GAC,
Thank you, you are very helpful!

If it's' 500 USD what's it matter you have to use it as you specify no alternative choices.

We visited Naples and Capri in 2001. I don't remember exact amounts, but don't recall paying anywhere near 25 Euros (lira at that time) for a taxi ride to/from the train station to/from the waterfront. But I suppose if you budget for that amount, you'll be okay. If memory serves, the hydrofoil cost approx. 16 Euros pp round trip, but that was a few years ago. Funicular on Capri was the equivalent cost of a subway, maybe 1-2 Euros. These numbers are based on hazy recollections, but for ballpark estimates, they should be accurate enough. You'll have a great time! Capri was the single most beautiful, romantic and idyllic place I've ever been on this planet (so far).

I guess if I needed a specific surgery, let's say a knee replacement, and I asked how much it might cost -- I'd be labeled an idiot by m_kingdom for asking, since I needed it, it wouldn't make any difference what it costs? Why do you have to always be so disagreeable, m_kingdom? What's wrong with someone trying to figure out what something will cost so he/she can appropriately budget? I think in retrospect, maybe suequinn didn't need to use the term "exact", but really wanted a general idea.

And your idea of allowing 400 euro for a budget, when someone has suggested that it should be about 40 total shows exactly why suequinn wanted details. Your suggestion for budget is outrageous. Good thing she doesn't listen to you (I hope).
