Naples restaurant...still there?
 

Someone I once knew who lived in Rome highly recommended a restaurant in Naples to me, and I'd like to try it on our upcoming trip to that area. Trouble is, the recommendation was made years ago. Can anyone tell me if this restaurant is still around and, if so, what is it like today? Ristorante da Giacomino, Via S. Carlo in Napoli.

I even have a postcard of this place, apparently near the San Carlo opera house and something called il Maschio Angioino is in the background, all vintage 1957. But, as these things go, I'm doubtful that the restaurant is still around & fear that we've waited too long!

Thanks very much for looking for da Giacomino. I was afraid it might have gone the way of all things. There's a lesson here somewhere....don't put off your travels!
