Naples restaurant

Could someone recommend a place for lunch near the National Archeological Museum?

Hi,

I have the following from other posters that are not far from the Museum.

Go South on Via Enrico Pessina about 6 blks to Piazza Dante Alighieri

53 Piazza Dante Alighieri 53
Famous for its array of antipasti, you may want to lunch on only the daily offering and then just a bowl of pasta, or a soup. Moderate prices. (081) 549 9372. Closed Wednesdays.

Dante e Beatrice Piazza Dante Alighieri 44
A small, atmospheric, old, traditional Order whatever the waiter is recommending, Inexpensive.
Leon d'Oro Pizza in Piazza Dante was excellent (and cheap too, about 4 euros).

Hope this helps.

Thank you!! They sound perfect.

mweiner, are you going to the Museum by yourself or on a tour? I've always wanted to visit that museum but I vaguely remember reading that sometimes it's closed? Unexpectedly? Any truth to that? I'll be in Naples in October; hopefully I can see it.

I agree with Ira's recommendation for Leon d'Oro in Piazza Dante. Great food & very low prices. My favorite restaurant in Naples. The pizza is great & the penne arrabiata is excellent.
