Naples in November

Hi ,
me and my wife would like to visit Naples at the beginning of November for 4-5 days.
acording to rain statisticsfrom he last years ,looks like that the chance for rainy days is ~35% and there are about 14 rainy days in this month.
do you recommend to visit Naples in this time of year ?
and one more question -
where is the recommended areas to stay in? ( we will probably rent an apartment)

Thanks !

Who can predict what the weather is going to be like? statistics are a record of the average of what has happened. Bring clothing for every occasion.
Areas depends on what you are looking for.
Quartieri Spagnoli is said to be very authentic including the crime!
Posillipo a well-to-do residential area.
I suppose it has to be the old town. It is obviously very touristy.

When you say Naples, do you mean only the city or are you thinking of day trips? If so, where?

I just had 5 weeks mainly in Croatia in April and 2 weeks in Rome and Venice in May. I tracked the temps and especially chance of rain for about 3 weeks prior to my trip and researched the historical weather. So I loaded up with $1 disposible ponchos, rain shoes, umbrella and one heavy rain jacket.

Did it rain-yeh! At night. I did not have one rain day and lugged what seemed like a ton of rain gear and I only travel with one carryon, so this was a lot of stuff for a non-event. But that;s not what it looked like from forecasts, that it was going to rain! Be prepared but don't depend on history or even the forecast.

Look at Hotel Bellini and Apartments -- it's a 5' walk from the renowned Archeological Museum and near a pleasant piazza area with young students, restaurants, etc.
