Naples apartment - input requested!

3 nights in Naples in late March.

Location input is highly valued. We will be taking the train in and out of Naples. Would like to head to Pompeii for day trip and also bus ride along Amalfi coast for a day trip. How would these work out?

Wow, that's a good selection you have DebitNM. For your purposes I think I'd choose #1 as long as you are comfortable with the fact that it is near the train station and the area looks a little rough according to the other reviewers. ( but many parts of Naples look a bit neglected and rough and are fine if you take the usual precautions)

I think if you had more time in Naples #2 would be great, it looks gorgeous and is in Chiaia which is a nice fashionable neighbourhood and how about those views?! However with only 2 full days there and wanting to do day trips it is not as centrally located as you need.

#3 is well located as well, being in the heart of the Centro Storico; we stayed in that neighbourhood and it was great, but #1 is close enough to the Centro Storico if you were wanting to walk there.

With 2 days there and 2 day trips are you planning to do any sight seeing in Naples itself?

Thanks rainy!
We will arrive at noon, so have 1/2 day first day. We may only do Pompeii as day trip and I think that takes about a half day. So ,we should have time in Naples.

I agree, if we had more time and it was warmer weather, the terraced house would be divine! We don't mind a bit of city grit, which is why I picked the first. The third is a good central location, but not loving the look of the beds.

I agree on the look of the beds in number three, I really liked the interior of number one a lot.
I hope you have a great time. The Archeological museum is very good and has most of the treasures from Pompeii.
Walking around the Centro Storico is fascinating.
