Naples accomodation

Need somewhere central, safe and convenient for the first week of June. Travelling solo. Any thoughts??

We were very happy with the Hotel Piazza Bellini. It felt very safe and was central and well located. It is a few blocks away from the National Archeological Museum. We would book there again should we have a chance to revisit Naples.

Traveling as a single woman, I’ve stayed here twice. Located near the port and walking distance to countless restaurants and shops, this B&B has easily met my needs. Great breakfast, clean and well appointed rooms and reasonably priced. I’ll be happy to return here. B&B Napoli | Bed and Breakfast Napoli | Orsini 46

Another highly recommend for the Hotel Piazza Bellini. From my 2015 trip report, “My hotel, the Piazza Belllini, was very well located for exploration of the historical center. For going farther afield, a few minutes walk through the Port’Alba brings you to the metro station at the Piazza Dante. With its lovely gated courtyard, the Bellini provided repose in the midst of the bustling city. My room on an upper floor had a terrace with a view of the Vomero, the high hill overlooking the city, and the most spacious bath of all my hotels. The TV offered BBC World News, Bloomberg Financial, and a CBS cable channel. The pictures on the web of the décor made me think Ikea. It looked better in person and everything about this place worked and was comfortable.”

Ditto to Hotel Pizza Bellini. Well-located, good staff, nice breakfast. We stayed there twice and were very happy both times.

We too stayed at Hotel Piazza Bellini and loved it. We had one of those spacious rooms with the terrace with views of the Vomero-lovely! It is very busy in the historical centre, but you will be safe, just don't wear expensive jewellery or flashy designer bags in the street. There are restaurants nearby for dinner and I'd take the advice of the staff re: safety at night. (just as you are solo)

You may have already decided, but I’ll add Napoli Bonita to the mix. It’s more B&B than hotel and is across from the Toledo metro stop. Very lovely hosts and conveniently located. I was not traveling alone, but I did feel safe walking to and from a variety of sites.

We will be in Naples for 2 or 3 nts in Sept. I’m just starting to look at accommodations in Naples. Not sure what area we want to be in.Since we’ll be arriving by train from Rome & then heading south to Salerno, we would like to have easy access to the train station. Any suggestions?

fluff224, as you can see, lots of us loved the Hotel Piazza Bellini, it is right in the historic centre, five minutes walk to the Archeological museum, lots of restaurants, interesting narrow streets full of life all around, it was a fast and cheap taxi ride from the train station. The area around the train station is not that great so I wouldn't stay there.

What raincitygirl said! And we took the metro from the train station - a quick and easy ride! But taxis are easy, too.

Another fan of Hotel Piazza Bellini. Do be aware that some rooms have a staircase up to the bed area with the entrance and closet etc. downstairs. Still love it but if you have a bad knee check that out before getting the room.

I booked the Hotel Piazza Bellini for 3 nts in Sept. Sounds like a great location!
