Naples accommodations

I am looking for relatively inexpensive accommodations in Naples. Here what I found so far:

Hotel des Artistes

Naples Lovely Apartment

La Terrazza

B&B Welcome

Has anyone had any experience with these accommodations? Comments as to location? Anything that makes one question the web information given? Thanks.

I believe Venere and Tripadvisor have reviews for many of those accommodations.

No experience with any of these specifically, but since you asked about location...we did stay just around the corner from Hotel des Artistes when we visited Naples a few years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in that area again. I don't recall a lot of hotels or restaurants along that part of Via Duomo (quite a few bridal shops, though IIRC), but we found it very convenient for the sites in the historical center, and we were able to walk just about everywhere from there.

Here are a couple of hotels we like that are on the inexpensive side and more in the historic center:

Both great reviews in tripadvisor.com

Hotel Garibaldi is right near the train station, and that is an area I would not want to stay in.

By the way Michael, there is a fairly current thread going on the subject of Naples accommodations. I don't know when you are traveling or how many are in your party, but it was also about inexpensive accommodations and locations, etc.

Check out tripadvisor on the Garibaldi. It's a couple of blocks from the station. People were told it was a bad area but they found it comfortable. No matter where you are in Naples you're within a block or two of an iffy area.

Having tried to book an apartment in Naples for the last month you should start sending off requests now. Very few replied to us & those that did were not available.
Have got a quad room at B&B Medinaples which will get us through the 3 nights we are there.
Will post on our experience.
