Names of Cinque Terre Wineries?!?!

I will be traveling through Cinque Terre Vernazza for 2 days in May and would really love to visit a Winery for a day? Does anyone have a suggestion or know a website to learn more about where wineries are?

Just in case you think you're being ignored, the reason you have got no answers is because there aren't any.

My oenophile husband has a pretty wide ranging library and the nearest i can find is Ovada where they make Dolcetto d'Ovada. Dolcetto is " a plump grape with a low acid content traditionally used to amke cheerful Beaujolis-type wines that are deep red in colour and best enjoyed young". d'Ovada is described as "the fullest and firmest-can last for as long as 10 years". this is not what you might describes as a "Fine Wine":)

You would have do go some distance to find anything better.

here is one web site for d'ovada.

Even this is 190 klicks.

There is a little shop in Vernazza that sells the Cinque Terre wine. The white wine from Riomaggiore is delicious. Perhaps the merchant can tell you where they bottle the wine.

Luciano Capellini
Frazione Volastra, Via Montello 240B, Tel: 0187 920632, [email protected], www.vinbun.it. Opening hours: by appointment only: [email protected], Tel: 0187 760083.
Passionate, he grows and bottles minute quantities of delicious Cinque Terre wines, including Casata dei Beghee, a brilliant straw-hued wine with herbal notes. Capellini is even more respected his luscious Sciacchetrà. He also makes unique “Vino di Buccia” wine from the second pressing of Sciacchetrà skins (le bucce). Small, rough and ready, this winery is remarkable. Tastings of Capellini wines can be booked and are held at Cappun Magru restaurant in the village of Groppo.
