Name of Venice Train Station?

I have a fear of booking into the wrong station. Sounds silly but in my trusty fodors book it says there are two stations: Stazione Ferroviaria Santa Lucia ( i think this is the main one) or Stazione Feroviaria Venezia-Mestre.

I want to book an ES train from florence to Venice and when i went on the trenitalia website it said: Venezia ( Tutte Le Stazioni )for or arrival.

Which station is this? It looks like ES trains between florence and venice run every three hours so we are trying to book ahead.

thanks!

Hi SS,

You want San Lucia.

Go to
www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

Enter Florence and Venezia.

On the next page you will see the departure and arrival stations.

The ones in black are the main stations. The ones in red are stops on the way.

Enjoy your visit.

thank you! what is the difference between the eurostar italia and the eurostar italia AV. I see two trains exact same length of travel time but different departures and different names.

i did not know if one was better or cheaper than the other.

Tutte le Stazioni means ``All the Stations''

AV stands for "Alta Velocita" and it's a newer high speed EuroStar Italia train.

Hi ss,

>what is the difference between the eurostar italia and the eurostar italia AV.

Both are the high-speed trains.

You can see the price difference by clicking on the shopping cart.
