Mydaytrip.com car service from Seville to Lisbon

Hi again! Based on the helpful responses to my other post, I have another question. Has anyone used the mydaytrip.com service from (or near Seville) to Lisbon? I've read many posts here and guidebook info indicating that there is no train service from southern Spain to Lisbon. TAP apparently has 1 hour 15min flights from Seville Lisbon but by the time we factor in transport to/from airports in both cities, a private car service like mydaytrip seems easier, especially as it will take us door to door from our hotel to Sevilla to our condo in Lisbon. Cost wise, for 4 people, there is not much difference as a van ride is 583 Euros airfare is about 150E/person = 600E. Was a bit surprised that the car service charges per person, but I suppose that is standard practice there. If any of you have used mydaytrip or can suggest another ride service, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you! .

I used this service, but not from Sevilla to Lisbon, it was from Porto to Lisbon. Honestly I was not that impressed. I was with people who had used it in other countries and had a nice car, professional driver, air conditioning.. when I went with them it was an older, kind of beat up van, the driver was very nice but seemed more like an uber driver, and I was suffocating in the back of the van because there was no air. He also made a stop at a place that we did not request (I think he had something to do there, so he said we should see it.) It added an hour and it was annoying.

But I think this experience was not common and that price does not seem that bad for a 4.5 hour drive. You could also check with your hotel in Sevilla or condo people in Lisbon to see if they know a company - "always ask a local" is my motto.

Thank you for your response, rialtogrl. Since you were the only one to respond, I get the feeling that this service is not that well-known or used. Sounds like it might be like Uber or a cab - it all depends on the particular driver and car. I wish there were other companies offering this type of service but so far, I haven't been able to find any. I I will take you up on your suggestion to check with my hotel in Sevilla for possible alternatives. Thanks again!

Have you considered a bus? Rome to Rio has several interesting options including bus to Faro and flight to Lisbon, car rental and straight bus.

I have used them between San Sebastián and Bordeaux. They picked us up in a Mercedes E350, and had water for us. I wanted to sleep but the driver was very chatting. I will use them again.

My brother-in-law has used them many times and we are using them from Lisbon to Granada in early Sept. He has always spoken
very highly of them.

Just checked the forum to see the newer replies. Thank you for the additional responses. We are looking for the easiest way to get to Lisbon from Sevilla and don't want to deal with flying, so plan to go with mydaytrip, especially as it offers door to door service from our Seville hotel to Lisbon apt. The quickest way would be the inland route with a possible stopover in Merida but are also thinking of the longer coastal route through the Algarves region with a quick stop in one of the towns (don['t know which yet). Unfortunately, our trip schedule doesn't allow us to stay overnight along the way, as one of us needs to depart from Lisbon the next day. Anyone have any thoughts on whether the long route would be a bit too exhausting?
Thanks again!

If I could see the ruins in Merida versus being in a car all day (*even a scenic ride), I'd choose Merida.
