MY 'YANK IN LONDON' SLIDE SHOW IS READY

Hiya Gang:

I created an album about my recent trip to London. I originally called it "A YANK IN LONDON" and I was ready to send it out.

However the underground and bus bombings stopped the work on it. I was going to title it as something else, but when I saw how the Brits stopped in a mass show of her determination not to change because of it, I decided that Yank in London was okay.
It's on www.webshots.com. Here is the thread, and I might screw it up as I have before but here it is

I hope you enjoy it.

Your album worked out just fine. Glad you had a good time. TV definitely was small. But, you donīt go all the way to London to watch telly.

Enjoyed your album very much. It was nice to see the flat that you stayed in and it sounded to me like you enjoyed the area.

So the chap in the shorts with his bicycle in the park was actually a traffic warden. On my yearly visits back home I am taken back at the number of older men who wear shorts and often when it is quite cool.

Thanks for taking the time to share.

Sandy

Art, Art, Art...

Nice photies, but:

Elgin Marbles came from Egypt?

Admittedly they were paid for through devious taxes imposed on the people of what's now Turkey. But there's a reason the captions round the Marbles are billingual in English and Greek (otherwise a language seen in London only on "now hiring" signs outside Fonthill Road garment factories - and it's a while since there were many of those).

The Marbles were conceived, designed, project-managed, erected and ultimately sold (or as modern-day Greeks claim, nicked) in Greece. And the Greeks never tire of asking for them back.

Your pictures just keep getting better and better!

I would have needed oxygen though to get up al those stairs! But it looks like it was really nice after you got to the top.

OOOOPS. As a Greek, I should have remembered where the Elgin Marbles came from. My error was writing in haste and not editing what I wrote.

Having said that, there is no excuse for me. I hope the Greek Gods will understand my grievous error.
