My trip report from Svalbard
 

Hi all. My wife and I did a short trip to Longyearbyen to celebrate New Years eve there. We got to drive some scooter, hike and visit an old coal mine. Here is the trip report with pictures and links: gardkarlsen.com/Svalbard_trip_report.htm

I would love to go back to Svalbard to see and do more. Next time I will probably try to go there in March/April. During spring it will still be winter conditions but with more light. When we went there it was total darkness all day long.

That's interesting to read. I don't often come across trip reports about towns that have "1,5 polar bears for each (person)" ^^
