My Topic Time to go to Switzerland
October 15-20 or November 2nd week , which is the best time to go to Switzerland. Kindly help me
How can we possibly answer such a question when you give us no background information? What would influence your decision; weather, public holidays, what?
Weather and traveling
If you insist on being cryptic, you're unlikely to get much help here. Can you manage full sentences? Such as who you are, why you want to visit Switzerland, what you want to do there...you know, the basics.
The earlier the better for any place in Switzerland - but Alpine areas could be a poor idea even at the earlier option.
Exactly where do you wish to go - Alpine areas or other areas like Lake Geneva where the weather is a bit better, etc. |
Your two options are too close together to make a significant difference.
It's a great time to hear great music and operas and see great theater. The concert season will be in full swing no matter which time frame you choose. The name is in English, but the website is in German, French, and Italian - still, you can make out most anything you need (if not, use Google Translate) - at https://www.classicpoint.ch/de/ Days are short for sightseeing, and weather dictates from day to day where it makes sense to go. Also check for seasonal closures. So you need to tell us why you want to go to Switzerland at either of those two times, what you have in mind, preferences and dislikes etc. It will be a good time for raclette and fondue - both considered cold-weather dishes. Great museums everywhere, and public transportation second to none. I would say - just go when you can and make the most of it when you get there. No need to plan ahead except maybe for concert tickets and such. |
I've generally had better luck with weather in October than November, but this is not a given.
I enjoy Alpabfahrt festivals in September and October (traditional cows coming home from mountain pasture). In October there will still be a few fall wine festivals. There are a 'few' more minutes of daylight in October.... |
I have got a tour from company for 4 people. I have to choose from the two dates. I don't know the exact itinerary. The tour also includes Italy and it is for 7days and 6nights.
October 15-20 is better.
Earlier the better, marginally - most of the time in Italy will be rather nice and Switzerland could be just dandy too but...
Where is the tour taking youse in Switzerland -makes a difference on the weather factor?
There won't be much difference because the dates you are asking about are so close together.
I agree that October would be better and perhaps warmer, too.
