My Top Ten Recommendations for Paris

After four months in Paris earlier this year , and blogging about our trip for the last few months, I'm ready to move on to talking and thinking about the next place we'll be visiting.

But just to finish I've put together a list of our Top Ten Recommendations for Paris. It's all on my blog where you'll find lots of links and ideas
http://somuchmoretosee.blogspot.com/...for-paris.html

Without going into all the details this is a broad eclectic snapshot of what we liked with everything from food to the fabulous Street Art Walking Tour we took with Underground Paris
http://undergroundparis.org/street-art-tours-paris

There are suggestions for smaller museums and places to visit outside the tourist center. We highly recommend Paris Greeters which is a great way to meet the locals.

For this and lots more check out the blog- don't worry it's completely non-commercial :). As ever I'm happy to answer any questions.

I broke this out from the very long Fodors trip report because I thought it would get buried there. But here's the link if anyone is interested.

Have fun wherever you are!

This is great WTB....perfect for our upcoming trip in December. We look forward to checking out Le Reminet....close to our apt. Finally, we will get to Marmottan and maybe some other small gems that we have missed. Thanks for sharing.

So glad you found it useful. Your encouragement on the other thread made me finally sit down and finish the post which had been hanging around in draft form for way too long.

Have fun in December!

Thanks so much for this!

Thanks Cathinjoetown!

I intended to write an post all about the Street Art walking tour which we loved but I never got around to writing it so I rolled it into this list. We've recommended the tour o several friends including a couple who took their kids and another friend who lived in Paris. It's a great tour and has the capacity to appeal to a lot of people.

Bravo! This will be so helpful. I'm especially interested in the smaller museums.

Were you able to bid on anything at Druout? How fun!

Best to you on planning your upcoming trip! And thanks again. Mary

wtb - I just made a reservation for the Street Art walking tour as per your recommendation - it is well liked on TA as well. Thanks, perfect timing for me as I am leaving soon for a week in Paris and had no walking tours planned..... :)

Welltraveledbrit, loved your recommendations, especially about smaller museums. Merci...

Great post WTB. The Musee Nissim de Camondo was a delightful and much enjoyed surprise last October in Paris. I loved the kitchen, artwork, tapestries and furniture. By an odd coincidence, it was in fact this very day (Oct. 22) that I was there visiting it !

I've always enjoyed your blog posts and detailed pictorial descriptions of the lovely places you've visited and/or eaten at. More to add to my future itineraries is all I can say. :)

Thanks so much to everyone for the encouragement. I'm glad it's useful and that you all like the smaller museum, there are so many more that we didn't make it to that remain on my list.

MarySteveChicagoI - I didn't get a chance to bid on anything at Druout, but there's always next time!

Mara - I really hope you enjoy the street art tour, do let us know when you get back.

Mathieu - I loved the Nissim de Camondo too, though the story of the family is so chilling. It's a fascinating place.

So pleased you are finding this useful and thanks for letting me know. I've been in an internet black hole in Burma so haven't been checking Fodors!
