Not only Skyr. Soft cheese (like brie, for example), canned paté, peanut butter, etc. will also be considered as liquids.
Verified by my friends' and my own experience. Though, I did not give them cheese and paté in Charle-de-Gaulle - I just returned to the airport cafe (I had enough time), took beer and enjoyed a nice lunch. After that passed security check without questions.
Good reason to be in the airport in advance! ;)

That was lucky, Bassarisk. a good reason for getting there well in advance as you say.

One of the most amazing things in Iceland is clouds. I have never seen clouds so low: in some cases just few meters above the sea level. What you may think to be fog in the video, through which we were driving, in reality were clouds. In fact, during 7 days we never saw any fog, but often drove inside clouds. Often saw the clouds literally "running" across the road ahead.

Like this?

Exactly!

And to drive through them was quite a fun, especially in the mountings (Eastern Iceland) and not knowing where you go!

...mountains, of course, not "mountings"!

Is there much difference in taste or texture between the Skyr you can buy in supermarkets in Iceland compared to the one from the supermarkets in Europe?

Don't know about Europe but with Canadian version (Montreal, QC) of Skyr cannot see big difference.

Thanks. I was just wondering as Mel wanted to get it at Kevlavik en-route to Switzerland.
But you should also find it in Zurich in any regular supermarkt.
Pretty much a staple thing in the dairy section.

In the airport it is much more expensive. I would not bother about getting it.

Cowboy -

I found Icelandic made SKYR at the COOP in Flims, Switzerland (two flavors) and ate it for two solid weeks. IME it's harder to find in small villages though (understandably).

I did buy a tub for breakfast in KEF and yes, it was more expensive than in Switzerland.

The stuff they call SKYR in the US is rubbish - at least the stuff they carry in my area.

WOW airlines went bankrupt few weeks ago. No more cheap flights from Canada to Iceland... :-(
It was wise to go there last summer.
