My revised revised revised, and then revised itinerary. :-)

Day 1. Arrive in Shannon - pick up a car and go to Ennis with a photo op stop at Dromoland Castle on the way. Spend 3 nights at Grey Gables. Things to do in town: Clare Museum, Ennis Friary, Childrens Shop and Poets Corner for dinner.
Day 2. Cliffs of Moher/Inish Oirr Cruise from Doolin with a stop on the way first to see Leamanch Castle. Bunratty Castle Banquet that night.
Day 3. Burren/Ballyvaughan starting in morning. Then driving down the coast east of the Cliffs to bridges of Ross to Loop head.
Day 4. Head on over to Dingle. Spending 2 nights there. Still looking at b&b's as Pax house only has room for one of the nights. Same as Emlagh Lodge. Sights: Conner Pass, Slea head, Inch beach, Ballyferriter, dun Chaoin, Louis Mulcahy Pottery shop, Rocky clogher head beach to name a few.
Day 6. Head on over to Killarney spend 2 nights. Sights: Gap of Dunloe, Ross Castle, Ladies View Mountains. No b&b booked--will wait til day before in case something else grabs our attention first.
Day 8. Drive to Kinsale spend 2 nights. Sights: Mizen head, Bantry, Timoleague franciscan Abbey, Drombeg Stone castles, Walking Tour of Kinsale, Charles Fort, Desmond Castle, and poss Blarney Castle. No B&B booked.
Day 10. Drive back to Shannon for afternoon flight to Edinburgh.

Thinking of only booking B&B's up until Dingle (since its the weekend) and "winging" it after that. And ofcourse weather will play a part. Any other suggestions for B&B in Dingle? Would like it kinda close to town to walk but not actually in town. Be nice if overlooking the water. And better yet if had a patio! Any other suggestions? This itinerary has evolved from staying in one place (Adare) to changing B&B's every night to this one. Our trip is now less then 4 months away. Getting excited.

We stayed at the Coastline Guesthouse in Dingle and the Killarney Lodge in Killarney. Both were pleasant and enjoyable.

I have this B&B booked for late August in Dingle. It seemed like a nice place in a good location.

If you are staying in Killarney there really is no choice but to stay at Killarney View House, everyone I know that goes to Killarney stays there, it's nearly always full though so you would need to book ahead. Amazing value and the only B&B in Killarney on its own river! Check out their Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/killarneyviewhouse

@ Neil. That does look like a nice play to stay. I sent an enquiry on availability. Thanks!

I stayed at Coastline in Dingle a few years ago. It was excellent. The rooms were beautiful, its a quick walk to town and Vivienne prepares an incredible breakfast. I would definitely recommend it

Ok. Trip is almost here and I have a couple driving questions. We will be leave Killarney and going to Kinsale. I would like to take a few short stops along the way in Bantry, Mizen Head, Dromberg circles and Timoleague. So I am wondering if that is doable for one day while driving down? Also, any other "must see's" alone the way. Looking more for architecture and scenic sites.

Also when going from Ennis to Dingle is it easier/faster to take the ferry or go around. Was thinking a few stops in Adare for photo op's would be nice. Any suggestions.
