Hi Everyone,

I have done 5 solo trips 4 is domestic and one I had an international solo trip to Nepal country. In 2023 I want to start with an international solo trip to<!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Florence Italy. I am looking for your help.

This is my very first trip too far distance from my mother country.

Florence is safe for solo travelers OR Do I need to hire any local guide over there? What you will suggest?

Here little about my trip details - I will be flying on 17 Feb in the evening. I will be there for 10 days.

You will need a Schengen visa to visit Florence. I assume you have one organised already?
Florence is a perfectly safe city to visit.

I agree, Florence is safe to visit solo, I have done so.

Florence is a small old town, very safe and with a high level of English spoken as it is a tourist Mecca. Apart from a few cultural differences (best read up with a guide book like the Rough Guide series) it should feel very comfortable. If you stay in a hotel you will find lots of leaflets and even guidance from staff, or visit tourist information https://www.firenze-tourism.com/en/f...n-offices.html on the Duomo square. There are also lots of guides who will provide you with paid for assistance, but they are not obtrusive. In Florence it is a profession and as such they don't pester potential clients.

The town is very much a walking town though there are buses and taxis.

Could you please let me is there any best platform where I can book a local private tour guide? This is my very first tour I don't want to skip the local authentic experience. I am also browsing but their lots of sites that have plan are is too high for me .

They are taking hourly-based charges near $50 To $100 for groups. They don't have mentioned the solo person charges.

Florence is also a good base for exploring the nearby area. There are frequent direct trains to many popular nearby towns and cities that you can visit as day trips. These can all be visited on your own - you don't need a guided tour.

Lucca
Siena (bus is easier than train)
