MXP Best Western to "The Last Supper"

I will be staying at the Best Western Hotel Cavalieri Della Corona by MXP. I have tickets to see "The Last Supper" on a Tue at 3p.

What is the fastest way to get there from my hotel? I think there are different trains/subway, and that express ones will be much faster. Is there a link I can look up the stations and schedule?

Of course, I can ask the concierge at the hotel when I get there, but I want to be a prepared as well.

Thanks in advance.

The fastest way would be by taxi, door to door.

But you could taxi (or hotel shuttle?) to Malpensa and catch a train to the Milano Nord Cadorna station (departures :03 and :33 after the hour, 29-minute journey). The entry point for The Last Supper is about 10 minutes' walk from the Cadorna station.

FYI, there is a stop on the train line between Malpensa and Cadorna at Forno Lonate Pozzolo that would preclude your having to get to the train station within Malpensa, but I don't know if there are ticket machines at this station. I presume there are, but I don't know. This is a question the hotel should be able to answer and also advise whether this is faster/easier than just starting from Malpensa.

You can search the trains at this link. Search from "Malpensa Aeroporto" to "Milano Nord Cadorna."

BTW, the walk from the Cadorna station to The Last Supper is a half mile. From The Last Supper to the Duomo is about a mile, and from the Duomo back to Cadorna is a little less than a mile.

Maybe your hotel concierge will disagree with me, but I would not recommend a taxi door to door because traffic in Milan could really lengthen the journey. I don't think it is the fastest way.

Unless you're planning on a helicopter flight, a car door-to-door will be the fastest way. To get there fast via any other method, all the stars would have to align because you'd need a lot of luck to capture shuttle, buses, trains, taxis all at the precise moment.

For a 3PM appointment on a Tuesday, I doubt traffic will pose a serious problem. Professional drivers know how to work around these things. If you leave some cushion time, you'll do just fine. How much cushion time should depend on the weather and events of the day.

Yes, my professional taxi driver was able to find away around the Boy Scout parade in the mid-afternoon on my way to Malpensa, although he was obliged to follow the detour indicated by police stationed about every 3 blocks, steering traffic down side streets. It added 25 minutes to my trip, but fortunately I had left an hour's cushion.

The stars don't need to align for you to catch a train from Malpensa. They leave on schedule.

But your hotel concierge (we hope!) knows best, and since you plan to ask....
