I've seen/heard either them or similar bands in quite a few places in Paris.

These people or those similar play all over France, anywhere they think they will find a crowd. There is nothing remarkable about their music, definitely nothing culturally authentic about their style which is generally an amalgamation of French stereotypes of the American Indian.

They are a harmless distraction.

These South American Andes groups are quite common in most large cities in the USA and Europe. I've seen similar musicians in Boston, San Francisco, Lisbon, Vienna, Montreal, etc. Pleasant music, I wish them the best of luck.

Serge, I have a “tin ear” when it comes to music unfortunately. But their music sounds southing. In fact, it reminds me of a tape I have of Irish tunes played on a variety of pipes – rather wistful, full of longing…

This kind of music always makes me want to get a massage. Exceptional? No, but soothing and nice to listen to.

I could swear these same guys were playing outside the Stuttgart Canstatter Volkfest in September! I remember thinking the American Indian costumes didn't "go with" the music...but it certainly stopped the people and got their attention.
