Stoa Athanaton, in the building that houses the meat market. No cover when I was there, but you have to buy a bottle of wine or something.

I have been to three one of which was Nikki's great recommendation of Stoa Athanaton.

Perivoli t'Ouranou, 19 Lysikratous in the Plaka was my second Rembetika club. I enjoyed it very much and there was a cover charge which, to be honest I thought was a bit too much. If I recall correctly it was close to 25e.

This last one was my favourite. Rebetiki Istoria at 181 Ippokratous. Inside it is dark, busy, smoky and has a fair mixture of visitors of all ages and mostly local. For me this was the best atmosphere to savour the finest rembetika. There was a cover charge which was 10e.
