What is your opinion on this museum - IF it is open at this point. Thanks

The museum in Paris is open and the renovated space is amazing, don't know what you could possible say about the Monet paintings that have not been said before but they are indeed breathtaking. In addition, the collection down stairs is not to be missed. I highly recommend it.

It is fantastic.

The renovation is a very nice job and a good display of the Monet paintings. Other than that, the museum is not one of my favorites in Paris because a lot of the work that is very strong in their collections is not my favorite style or artists. For example, I don't like Renoir and they have a lot in there. There is also a lot of some more modern artists whom I don't care for that much. I think it's a good museum as it's not too large, so you can see it in not too long a time and fit it into a tourist schedule very easily.

I was just there last month. I liked the museum, they did a great job, but I can't compare it to what it was before because I was never there for the before. It's very clean and bright and the Monets are wonderful. It was not too crowded thankfully when I was there. I can see where it would be a problem to really get the most out of the panels during a very busy time. They have benches for viewing but when you have a bunch of people standing or walking between you and the panel, it really takes away from the experience. I, luckily, got several really good moments with just me and the paintings. I LOVE Monet, so very worthwhile. If he's not your cup of tea, then perhaps give it a miss, and as stated there are OTHER artists featured.

We were there last May just after it re-opened. I found the Monet's to be breathtaking. At that time it was so popular that in order to avoid a 3-hour wait you needed to get tickets in advance. However, that was on a 4-day weekend and it seemed the whole world was in Paris!

Loved the Modiglianis and, of course, the Monets.

I was lucky enough to see the Musée de l'Orangerie back before most of the Impressionist paintings were moved to the Orsay. At that time one walked up the stairs to the second floor and saw the van Gogh "Starry Night" on a wall facing the staircase. Absolutely magical! And so, of course, were the Monet "Water Lilies" panels in the basement.

I LOVED this museum. It was my favorite of our trip in November. It was still closed during our March trip. The Monet's are spectacular. The other paintings in the collection are great too. Especially the Picasso's and the ones by de la Tour
