Sorry, the museum's in Paris.

I found it on the internet and it's not that far away from my hotel so I hope to take a look. I love pens and paper. I'd like to know, though, whether people thought it'd be a disappointment or not. I'm also curious if there's a gift store (they don't have a website - the only info I've been able to get on the internet is the address and opening times - nothing descriptive).

How's your french?

Seems they were robbed in 2001 of their most valuable pieces...

Ranges from 1750 to modern, especially golden age of 1920's

Oh dear, my French isn't great. But who knew there were TWO golden ages of pen? I did MAYBE understand, though, that they caught the thiefs with the help of the Germans? Does it say whether any or all of the stolen property was recovered? I've decided it sounds like a lovely place to visit so it's going on my "list." Thanks!

It is rather funny that you got a translation of DRUNK for "bus" mimi - - of course, bu is the past participle of "to drink" (i.e., "drunk"), and its adjectival form, it can be pluralized to "bus"! LOL!

But the PIDF website does provide its own more appropriate translations to English:

Best wishes,

Rex

Hey Rex, good to see you posting, and like my husband and bookchick and marianna who always have a great spirit.
I'm sure I'd be a Pain in the ane if it were me. I don't know if you remember my post about looking for B%bs and th translation was : "No Farts allowed"
I thought it a translation error. NO- it means NO PETS ALLOWED>
