Munich's Glockenspiel Times
 

These postings have really been helpful. However, I saw one that said the Glockenspiel in Munich jousts on Marienplatz daily at 10:30, 12:00 and 5:30. Most guide books and the Glockenspiel website say 11:00, 12:00 and 5:00. Can any recent Munich visitors or residents there give the present schedule? Thanks.

And make sure you stay until the finish, when the little rooster crows... don't be like all the other tourists and clap and leave before the "show's" over. Go a little early, sit at one of the cafes and have a cup of coffee (or a cola for the kids), but understand the seats outside are for cafe customers and others are asked to leave. Have fun, it's adorable.

Last time I was there I was seeing it for the second time in Spring of 1999. Timed it to climb the church tower across the platz and watched it from up there for a different perspective.
