Munich: Trouble finding a decent map.

Currently doing Munich. I went to the tourist store and tried to buy a good map of the city. Unfortunately they are all in German. I asked if there were any in English but the lady was quite adamant and could not tell me where I could get one. Can anybody recommend a good map in English and advise at which store I could buy one?

This is not a troll. The only maps i saw had all the explanations of famous places opening times etc etc in German. Unless i can find sthg in english it is of little use.

Even if Falcon were a troll (and I believe that this is not the case), the question is legitimate. I don't know what you mean by a "tourist store" - - are you IN Germany? or in an English-speaking country? Here in America, the place you need to look is in a very large bookstore - - Barnes & Noble or Borders. I feel sure that such a map can be found. But it might not be an appropriate substitute for a GUIDEbook - - with opening times, descriptions, street addresses, et cetera for museums, attractions and so forth.

Best wishes,

Rex
If you're in Munich, go to the tourist info office on the outside of Hauptbahnhof. The maps they have for 1dm (or whatever) have English and German.

Thank you Paige. I'll go there later today.
