Munich to Regensburg

Planning a trip to Munich in late Nov. Has anyone taken a train or bus to Regensburg for a day? I would like to do a day trip. Need information on trains or buses. Thanks. Grace

Because no one else has chipped in on this one, I looked it up on the Deutsche Bahn scheduler. Trains from Munich to Regensburg are frequent. Trains involving no changes enroute take about an hour and 30 minutes and leave about every hour.
The posted fare I saw was 38 marks.
That is all I know about it, not having actually done that trip myself.

I've done it. Here's the website where you can check train schedules:
http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/db.w97/query.exe/en
It's an easy day trip. On the weekends you can use the Schones Wochenende ticket for 35dm for up to 5 people for 1 day on all SE, RB and RE trains (see the website above). During the week you can use a Bayern ticket for 40dm after 9am and not from 4p-6p on the same type of trains.

I stayed a week in Munich last year and took the train for a day to Regensburg. There are trains at least every hour, taking about 2 hours. The Danube, Catherdral and old town hall (one daily tour in English)were all great. The train ticket price is very cheap if you go during non-rush hour (say departing Munich 9:30 am and departing Regensburg after 6 pm for return.) Just ask at the Hauptbahnhof in Munich.
