Munich to Prague
 

Any suggestions for 9 days to spend from Munich to Prague would be appreciated. I had to book the airline tickets before I did any research. Of these days, the 1st 2 will have to be spent in Munich. One of these days (in Munich)is reserved for a day long tour to the castles and Oberammergau. I would like to see Innsbruck, Vienna and Prague but I am open to other suggestions. Too much to see, too little time.

What mode of transportation are you planning to use? That makes a difference in suggested itineraries.

We are planning on traveling by train.

Salzburg is more interesting than Innsbruck. With only nine days, I would do Salzburg, Vienna and Prague, with a possible day trip to Melk and the Wachau valley.

I suggest 3 nights in Munich, 3 nights in Vienna and 3 nights in Prague OR
2 nights in Munich, 3 nights in Vienna and 4 nights in Prague.

What are your main interests? Knowing that, it would be a bit easier to give advice. If it were my first trip to these cities, I would give 2 nights to Munich, 4 to Vienna and 3 to Prague.
