Munich in mid August

Looking for a hotel prior to joining a tour. Do we need A/C in an 'average' August? Thanks for any help.

It will be HUMID in Munich in August whether it is your definition of "hot" or not. There's a very good reason why a lot of Munich hotels have A/C, too.

Thanks. That is what I figured but wanted to check.

I've been to Munich in late July and in August. I didn't find it particularly humid, but then my standard measure for humidity is New Orleans and Singapore - LOL. It was warm though, both times. The first time we stayed at a hotel without AC and it was pretty warm in our room. I didn't mind it, but if you are not used to sleeping warm, it could be an issue. The second time we stayed at the Motel One Sendlinger Tor, which does have AC.

Yes, you will need a/c and ask for a fan also.
