need to make a correction. We got the Courtyard for $84USD.

DAX - need to make a correction: the Marriott does have A/C. Believe me, I just returned from my stay there :-)
|
We were there last summer, try the Hotel Torbrau, it was great. Just a couple blocks from everything. Walk to all best attractions, food, bars, parks. Across the street from the underground station. Very clean, air conditioning, made for a wonderful trip. If there was any draw back, the elevator was quit slow, but that's it.

le meridien munich.
stayed there last summer for a week. right across the street from the HBF. awesome hotel. |
As per Ingo,I stand corrected, I just realized that we actually stayed at the Renaissance which is owned by Marriott just across the street from Marriott Munich. Glad to hear that Marriott has AC.
I have also stayed a couple of times at Le Meridien which is a great hotel stuck in a rougher/dumpy surrounding by the train station. |
The Hotel Uhland is a charming mansion converted to a small hotel. It is a long walk to the Marianplatz-- probably 20 minutes. Only about 10 minutes to the train depot.
Hotel Uhland is in a pleasant and quiet semi-residential neighborhood of tree-lined streets. There are some local restaurants which are nice. A nice breakfast buffet is offered, free internet use, and a helpful front desk. And, you can borrow bikes for free from the hotel and ride around by the river. Our family room was quite large, with a new bathroom (two years ago). |
I found the Admiral Hotel to be very nice, and within walking distance of everything.
