Munich for a week

Jump to last reply

Hello, 33 year old male traveling to Munich, currently by myself. Arriving in Munich on a Sunday and flying out the next Sunday in late May next year. I enjoy History and beer and was looking for advice on my trip. I currently plan on spending the first arrival day and the next day day wandering around Munich. Then on Tuesday maybe taking a trip out to the Andechs monastery for part of the day and other things TBD. For Wednesday through Friday I was either going to go to Berchtesgaden/Eagle's Nest/Salzburg or possibly head down to Inssbruck. Saturday travel back to Munich and hang out there till my plane departs the next day. All travel would be by train.

Everything things to be within a couple of hours of each other so I think I would be able to pull off Munich/Innsbruck/Salzburg no problem. Time would just be tighter.

I am just not sure if in that time of the year there are better things to see than others. I know the Eagle's nest reopens in mid may but might depend on the weather for when it actually does open. Any thoughts or Input would be helpful!! Thanks!
