Munich: cannot pick a hotel

Hello everyone,

Please help me pick the Munich hotel from the following list:

- Hotel Uhland
- Hotel Dachs
- Hotel Blauer Bock
- Hotel Munchner Kindl
- Hotel Senefelder

I am traveling solo in Munich for 4 days in the beginning of September. Above hotels gave me an offer within my price range of around Euro 60. Hotel Uhland seems to get the best reviews but I am not sure about the location. I am into the museums and I am wondering it might be better off to stay near the center. However, I am planning a day trip out of Munich by train or bus for the first two days and it might be good to stay near the train station. I realize there are other factors to consider such as air-conditioning, quality of breakfast, etc., etc...

Any feedback from your stay is very much appreciated!

>air-conditioning
One thing that isn't an issue. It will be rather cold.

It will already be cold at the beginning of September?

It may be rather nice (about 25 celsius max) during daytime but cool in the evening. Not too bad at at all but summer is over.

If you are staying in Munich for 4 days, I don't think the location of your hotel is all that critical. Pick the hotel you are most comfortable with. In early September, I might think about the air conditioning factor. But, not for too high of a price.

Getting to the train station is a snap from just about anywhere if you use the metro. Buy a Bayern lander pass the days you plan on taking day trips, and all the metro rides in Munich are free for the day with the pass.

Munich museums are an easy walk from anywhere near the city center, again, easily accesible by metro.

If the U-Bahn isn't convenient there are many tram lines as well. I agree that A/C which I would normally insist on in HUMID Munich would not be as much of an issue at that time of year.

>I might think about the air conditioning factor.
Wasted money
>Munich museums are an easy walk from anywhere near the city center
Depends, what you'interested in?

>HUMID Munich
Now tell the days when it will be humid and warm in Munich. I'm still waiting. Up to now, COLD, WET, there may be 5 or 10 warmer days in July-August. The rest is...

Stay at the Uhland. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the train and subway station and that breakfast buffet is to die for.

We also agree with the Hotel Uhland. In addition to it being a short walk to the subway station, there is a bus stop just about one minute away. That bus line goes directly to and from the main train station.

Thank you everyone for your comments!
I would like to wait a little longer to see if anyone else has stayed at these places.
