Assuming you are on your trip right now so hope everything is going wonderfully! Wow just looking at the date, I guess today is the first day of your trip!

I'm thinking about booking the Jedermann for about two nights in October. The garage is very cheap at 10 per day but I'm wondering if there is any free parking near the hotel. I was actually intending this question for be for Travel but I bet you can answer that as well.

Of course I understand you may be too busy having a blast and not getting on internet message boards while on vacation lol

When you rent your car in Germany keep in mind the surtax of 19% for cars picked up at airports or train stations. No penalty to drop it at a train station or airport.

There are a couple of rental lots within a couple of blocks of the main train station. Gemut.com has booked our car rentals for us. See if you can get the car rental company to find a car (even if it is not the class car you planned to rent) that has Swiss (if that is where you are dropping it) tags on it. That could save you a ton on cross-country drop fees.

Yeah Aisle, thanks for the info. I'm thinking about booking with Gemut. Do you suggest booking with, I guess what they call a consolidator, over going with the rental company directly? What are some of the pros and cons? I'm going to have to study up a bit more on where the vignettes are needed in Switzerland since they're quit a bit more expensive than the ones needed for Austria.

Thank you Aisle. It looks like I will be booking with them but I have to contact them again. They made me up a voucher but it has me picking up and dropping off at airports. Also, is there normally a one-way fee for picking up and dropping off in different cities? They are charging a 20 or 25 Euro one way fee for picking up in Berlin and dropping off in Munich. I was a bit surprised by this.
