Munich- airport/train station
 

Can anyone tell me if there is a train station at or next to the Munich airport?
I need to take the S-Bahn I think to get from the airport to the Main train station. Does anyone know how long it takes?
Also, where can I find an ATM machine at? Is the airport or the train station better> Where might one be located at? Thanks.

Yes, the S-Bahn is right there in the Airport. Take either the S-1 or S-8 -- both stop at the main train station. Takes about 1/2 hour/45 min.

There is an S-Bahn station at the airport. Both the S-1 and S-8 lines will get you to the main train station downtown. Last time I did this it took about 45 minutes.

There is also a bus service option run by Lufthansa.

There are ATM's at both the airport and the train station.

Can someone tell me if the first train (the one where I get the S-Bahn to go to Munich to the Main Train Station) is located. Is it under the airport? Across the street in a separate building? or where?

There is an entrance from the airport terminal itself...just follow the signs.
