Munich Airport Hotels
We are arriving one morning and plan to go downtown to Munich to see the sites and then leave early the next morning from the airport. Which airport hotel (besides The Kempinski) would be the easiest to do that?
Any websites offering good rates at The Kempkinski? Thanks! |
Hi,
You could try the Park Hotel (Best Western) in Erding, Germany. We stayed here last year. It's about 15 minutes to/from the airport and the train station is a block away. Very nice hotel, excellent location. The old town of Erding is very nice and only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. www.bestwestern.com www.parkhotel-erding.de Paul |
Thanks! It sounded great but a 3 night minimum is required at that time! :(

pja1: Do all the Munich airport shuttles charge? I found a great price for Kempinski and trying to compare factoring in charge for shuttles at other hotels. I am seeing 10 Euro charges per person to some of the others--is that one way? Thanks!

Let me clear up my last post--I am referring to airport hotels and the charges they might have for shuttle service! Thanks!

Hi,
I don't know about most airport hotels, but it can be up to 10 Euros I believe. We took a cab to Munich Airport from the Park Hotel, Erding last year since our flight was very early in the morning (25 Euros for both of us). The Moevenpick in Halbergmoos (very close to Munich airport) has specials/promotional deals with shuttle included. We stayed here 3 times. Very nice place. The drawback is that it's not really near anything. http://www.moevenpick-hotels.com:80/...unich_airport/ Paul |
