Munich Airport Hotel?

We are looking for a hotel near the Munich Airport for the night before our return home.
Hopefully one with Shuttle service to the Airport.

You should stay at the Movenpick. It is about a 2 minute drive from the airport. They also have shuttle service.

The hotel is a few years old, has decent food etc. Also it was relatively cheap for being near a major airport in a major city. Thr room was around $100. The have a website.

As we had an early flight out, we stayed at the Kempinski--for $200 a room! Quite a shock after the $60 or so for the inns we stayed in (which always included breakfast). Next time we'll look for something more economical.

The Movenpick website appears to be under construction--I tried www.movenpickhotels.com.

Hi Barb,
avoid the Kempinski, although it`s really nice and directly in the airport`s building, but as a previous poster pointed out, it`s very expensive and you`ll never know when there`s a fair in Munich prices climb up to 300$ per room. The Moevenpick is a good idea, as well as the Marriott in Freising, 15 minutes away. They have an own shuttle-bus and if you tell them your flight number, they`ll pick you up at time. The rates for a double-bed room are around 100$. A further advantage is the very nice village of Freising, a lot of restaurants and things to do.
Try www.hrs.de to book your hotel, they have the best rates without demanding your CC-number and it`s in English, as well.

Regards
Miriam
