Munich Airport
 

First of all thanks to everyone for all the advice with planning our trip to Germany. We leave tomorrow night. Question is: Two couples are meeting at the Munich Airport -- one flying in from London the other from Paris. Can anybody tell me where a good place to meet at the airport. We probably will take the subway (if we don't have too much luggage into Munich). Again thanks for all your help.

I would suggest that you go to

www.munich-airport.de

and have a look at the restaurant list.

One of them is even called "Café Meeting Point (Treffpunkt)" and it is in the "öffentlicher Bereich" or public area of the airport.

Personally, I'd rather sit over a coffee than wait at a ticket machine...

You want to meet with somebody or do you want to eventually, if you happen to be at the right place? Have you coffee and hope for the best...

I assumed, of course, that you and the other couple would communicate with each other about your meeting place...

Right, I would suggest you send your husband to the ticket machines and wait at the cafe yourself. ;-) That way you can have your coffee and make sure you meet your friends at the same time. Ever tried to make an appointment at a café in a foreign place and meet people there that themselves never have been there before? Doesn't work, believe "male instinct" this time ;-)
